Why import Race Horses from the USA ?

It’s a fact that the majority of the top european stables go to the Florida and Kentucky sales every year.  And all of the top stables have the best buyers bidding on their behalf. They want the best looking and best bred horses available. Most foals are usually purchased for amounts between 20000 USD up to 100,000 USD.

These Foals, for the most part, are the result of carefully selected breeding programs. The buyers of these yearlings and 2 year olds are interested in Two things, racing and to improve their own breeding stock outside of North America.

We at Anglo-American Racing feel that the lack of Racing on the Turf (grass) available in North America due to various factors including adverse weather  conditions means that many fine thoroughbreds never reach anywhere near their full potential. The grass is the natural surface for horses, and a review of family lineage will show a preference for grass racing in most of the best racing stock.

By securing well bred, good looking and sound athletic horses we can be extremely competitive in the European races at every level.

Not all horses will win the Kentucky Derby, The Arc or the English Derby, but there are many races with huge purses and of course for every win a horse’s value for breeding grows exponentially.
