We at Anglo-American Racing offer you the chance to get involved and follow your horses from start to finish. All our horses are bred and raised at Thoroughbred Farms in Kentucky and Florida. Full breading history of every syndicate horse is available and syndicate members are kept regularly updated with progress news on their horses.
From a practical perspective all horses are born on the grass. They live on grass, run on grass and eat grass, but in the United States most thoroughbred racing takes place on dirt surfaces. Europe provides grass surfaces for almost all of its races.
The very serious horse buyers attend the sales in Kentucky and Florida, where they purchase weanlings, yearlings and other racing and breeding stock. During the course of a horses racing career it is sometimes found that they prefer a surface that’s not available to them where they normally race. They therefore are sent to location where they can be more productive. This is where Anglo-American Racing steps in! It is our belief that a good portion of US bred racehorses would benefit greatly from the ability to race on grass.
We pick top quality, thoroughbred horses that are bred to thrive on grass and import them to the UK to be trained by our trainers to race in the UK and Europe.
